More than 25 years of experience in agriculture allows Peter Raymond to bring a unique blend of experiences into PBS. His strengths include a diverse field R&D background working with several technology platforms focused on crop health management and yield improvement. He is an expert in confined field trials – having worked with biotech corn, cotton, and soybean through to regulatory and market approvals.
He will provide technical biosafety support in Africa. Peter also has experience in building a regional, multi-location, multi-year testing platform for transgenic traits in plantation forestry species and two decades in service with a private company that included technical and managerial roles with ever- increasing responsibilities in Field Product Development, Environmental and Regulatory Sciences, and Regulatory Affairs. He current serves as an adviser with the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center and the Institute of International Crop Improvement. Peter has an M.S. in Plant Pathology from Kansas State University and a B.S. in Plant and Soil Sciences from the University of Vermont.
